Wild Nature Goddess Sanctuary | TripaSista

Wild Nature Goddess Sanctuary – Enjoy R&R in an unconventional, nature-prioritized environment while having access to things like electricity & wifi if you want them.

Awake to mostly bird song rather than people-noise, yet an easy drive from everything: Volcano National Park hiking & crater lava viewing, black sand sea turtle beaches, local farmers markets, art galleries, museums, classes, + Hilo Airport. (Also within walking distance of island-style Hele-On bus service.)

Possible ways to enjoy sharing sacred time/space here: Do your own thing…OR arrange to come in a partial-work-trade way helping out 1.5 – 2 hours per day…OR schedule custom-designed Professionally Creative, Spiritual/Magical, &/or Tailored Nurturing retreats with sanctuary’s founder.

Guidelines: We are a substance-use (smoke/drugs/alcohol) FREE home that is intentionally kept intimate, private, + diverse racially, by age, spiritual & affectional preference.

We have a womyn-centric focus in this time of the Divine Feminine rising here on Planet Earth (i.e. we usually — though not 100% exclusively — welcome goddess girls!). All sharing of sacred time/space is prearranged with a mutually do-able arrival time set up in advance; we do not have office hours & never welcome drop-ins.

All monetary support is non-refundable/non-transferable. (Extending time together after you’ve arrived is sometimes but not always possible.)

Another intended focus is collaborating with Nature in its unconquered state…therefore wildlife (tall grasses, traditional Hawaiian medicinals, all kinds of lizards, singing birds & frogs, dragonflies, etc.) abound, with an occasional family of wild pigs also roaming through! 🙂

We are experimenting with things like solar showering + the process of repurposing (rather than supporting the contemporary addiction to consume). (NOTE: If you’re seeking a typical vacation atmosphere with hotel amenities & weather-controlled environments, please know this is NOT it! Here we work with the presence of Nature, which can feel much ‘louder’ than the momentary desires of humans.)

Happy to enjoy visits from well-matched new & old friends. Sometimes open to longer-term stays as well. 🙂

When inquiring, please tell a bit about who you are & your intentions for time on the magical Big Island!

Q Can I bring spouse/partner/friend/kids/pets with me?

We have various ways to be here (cabins, rooms, camping) that can be offered to 1 - 4 people, so let us know how many folks you'd like to visit with & we'll see what's possible. 🙂 (No last minute additional people after we've scheduled time for you here are allowed.) PETS: We have our own outdoor pets + many rare & endangered wild birds, etc. on the land, so we do not welcome visiting pets. KIDS: This is mainly an environment meant for goddess gal adults taking contemplative, restorative time for their own creative, spiritual, & personal growth journeys. Since we usually have projects-in-progress with tools around + things like fragile musical instruments in the library/music/art room we don't prefer damaged, as an environment that is not 'kid-proof' by any means, we generally don't welcome adults with young children...& even when we do agree to adult(s) accompanied by children over say 8 years old, consistent supervision by parent(s) is always expected. As a rustic jungle rainforest work-in-progress environment located on an active volcano, all visitors/residents agree to be 100% responsible for their safety + belongings while they are here.

Q Do you provide food/bedding/work clothes (if I'm helping out)...or do I need to bring my own?

All indoor spaces have beds & bedding (including extra blankets); campers need to come with their own tents, sleeping bags, tarps, etc.

Everyone provides their own food supplies, though there is also a shared-food shelf that folks are welcome to take from & add to.

Additionally, people have been known to spontaneously share potluck meals. Like island adventures & collaboration on projects, potlucks are always shared as mutually desired. (Sometimes there's lots of sharing & connection going on...other times folks are more focused on their own individual journeys & growth; it just depends who is here at any given time.)

For those arranging to come in a partial-work-trade way, we do have a supply of work clothes & gloves, etc. here you can use.

Q How do I reach you/arrange a stay?

Email is the best way to say hello/ask questions/arrange time together here on Pele's unique island since we like to stay pretty 'unplugged' but do generally check: discoverkulana@yahoo.com daily. Once we've scheduled specific dates & an arrival time for you, directions to our door + phone # will be provided.

Q How have visitors/residents described this one-of-a-kind experience?

"I would like to thank you ever so dearly. I have spent the most magical month...thank you for allowing me this space to grow as an individual. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect time...I was able to find my inner child, get creative, sing, laugh, trust my intuition. You have taught me a lot...Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart." Emma

"I love the space where the buddah sits above the lava tunnel. I will never forget the sounds of rain on the roof of my cabin and the green wet beauty." Rachel

"Breathtaking. Pele is just amazing. We love your home and everything that comes with it. You managed not to shut the nature out despite the walls of the houses. This is just amazing." Maren & Greg

"I feel so tremendously blessed to have found you...You have welcomed me with such love, kindness, and a warm hug and listening ear. This place has allowed me to be genuine, to be myself, to grow in love and safety. ..I will carry this love and light I've cultivated here with me to the ends of all my creations." Ana Cristina
