The Forge House B& B is ideally situated beside famous Irish music pubs, restaurants, theatre, University College, hospital and shopping areas. It has its own private car park and there is a TV in all of the rooms. Broadband is also available to guests. The O’Connell family invite you to share their home for the duration of your visit.
The Forge House is a charming period house, which was once known as Coogans Forge where horses were shod from the 1800’s to the 1960’s. Fintan Coogan senior who was mayor of Galway owned the Forge and worked there for many years.
The Forge House is located just a 2 minutes walk from the City Centre and the High Street where there are innumerable pubs, shops, clubs, galleries, restaurants and theatres. Around the corner is Quay Street, now famous for its fine restaurants, Irish pubs and traditional music. The Forge House is also beside the hospital, the University and Eyre Square. Salthill, which is close by is a huge attraction with its beautiful sandy beach and leisure activities.
Bus tours to Connemara, Burren and Cliffs of Moher. Dolores will arrange pick up by the bus driver from our B&B on request.
