Rose Acre Guest House Provincetown, Cape Cod is a rambling 1840 Cape House, tucked down a private drive in the center of town. This “Provincetown Classic” and woman’s house, was once the domain of a Portuguese fishing family. We are close enough to the bay for some water views, the sound of the fog horn and the sweet smell of fresh salt air. Designed for comfort and the artist in all of us, units are adorned with wicker, art and flowers. A spacious private yard and garden invites you to relax, sun and picnic.

There is no place quite like Provincetown. Our location at the tip of Cape Cod has been a gathering spot for artist, writer, bohemian and fisherman. This 19th century fishing village is filled with galleries, unique shops, cabarets, theater and seafood restaurants. Surrounded by the Atlantic and 4000 acres of sand dunes – it is well known for it’s women’s community, artist’s community and ethnic community.

So come visit and help celebrate a place “where the light is bright, the streets are narrow and the minds are broad”.

About Us: We came to Provincetown 28 years ago, looking for an artists community, ethnic community and women’s community. In Provincetown we found it all, Rose wanted to paint and I wanted a business and garden. We are so humbled to live in a community where art, music, literature and theater hold such value. Living next door to our historic library, having enough room for a large garden and fruit trees and the ease of walking to shops and galleries has enriched our lives. Not to mention having access to world class institutions like the Provincetown Art Association and Museum, the Fine Arts Work Center, and the Center for Coastal Studies. Then on the whole back side of town spreads the National Seashore, with over four thousand acres of sand dunes.
